Opioid Stewardship

The National Quality Forum (NQF) has developed several resources focused on opioid stewardship. NQF developed and launched the NQP Playbook™: Opioid Stewardship in March 2018. This NQP Playbook™ provides essential guidance for healthcare organizations and clinicians committed to appropriate pain management strategies and opioid stewardship. NQF also launched the Enhancing Access to Medication-Assisted Treatment Guide in July 2019 to support the use of evidence-based treatment for opioid use disorder.
